Position Overview: We are currently seeking experienced and proactive Purchasing Managers and Directors to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of top-quality rental equipment to meet our clients’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to secure favorable agreements.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess their equipment and vehicle rental needs and requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, contracts, and supplier information.
- Lead and mentor purchasing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a purchasing management or directorial role, preferably within the vehicle or machinery rental industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are advantageous.
